I had a definitely most wonderful holiday. A little to eat, a little to drink, and a lot of fun. Thank you, for those of you I spent time with, for the immensely pleasurable time I had spending with all of you. I hope we can continue to do so in the future.
As for school, and the impact it has had on some of us, I am greatly amused to find that I was eager to return as usual. Even after all the fun of the holidays, I still prefer my spellbooks. If anyone seems to have trouble with anything school related, don't hesitate to ask for my assistance. Apparently, I do this for fun.

[Hexed against Authority; Professors, Bellatrix, Lucius, Aurors, but not Prefects]
It seems as though a large chunk of my books have gone missing. If you happen to see someone with a few ... interesting patterns on their skin, loss of hair, loss of limb, bleeding eye balls, suddenly death, babbling nonsense, or excessively vomiting... side effects, would you kindly report them to me? The books were a bit of an experiment and they were not meant for human or house elf use. It's a shame they've gone missing.
As an aside, before anyone pins the poisoning events after the semi-formal on me, I assure you that no book of mine could do this.

I'll just as quickly admit that I'm among those few that will be attending this party accompanied by Miss Mary MacDonald. I shall be having a wonderful time with such a beautiful young woman on my arm and I hope to see all of you there. House Unity is a wonderful idea, and I fully support it.

It's truly a shame she's turned me down. Apparently, other Slytherins have been sending Mary MacDonald things. It's quite puzzling, but it's why she refuses to attend the party on my arm. I'm rather upset, though I suppose I show it well. I'll simply make sure she dances with me at least once at this party. She's said she'll be going with me. In so many words. Actually, one word. But it meant everything and nothing, that one word. I assume she'll be in attendance. I'm thrilled.

Hello Lily! I normally dedicate a small section of my journal entries to be pleasant in general, but this time I've actually got a question that I'd like to ask you. You live in Gryffindor and a Miss Mary MacDonald is your housemate. She's a peculiar thing, but I rather fancy her all the same. So I asked her to the party and she insisted that she wouldn't attend on the count that she is not "an intelligent, well-defined young woman with the capacity to do anything she puts her mind to. I'd be honored and privileged to spend an hour in her company."
And I haven't the slightest clue how to mend the situation. Perhaps you'd know more of Miss MacDonald than I and could lend a hand?
Though she's said yes, I'll still need assistance. I have no doubts she'll simply run away at the least bit of upset at the party.
